Breathing is FREE and when done consciously it can boost your energy, make your brain function more efficiently and reduce your stress level.
So, let’s all take a collective DEEP cleansing breath and give one of these actions a go:

Have you ever caught yourself holding your breath or taking shallow breaths?
Breathing is FREE and when done consciously it can boost your energy, make your brain function more efficiently and reduce your stress level.
So, let’s all take a collective DEEP cleansing breath and give one of these actions a go:
- Add some fresh mint to your tea and breathe deeply. It’s a good habit all year, but ESPECIALLY during the “flu season” or when you feel tired. Mint is believed to be the world’s oldest natural “medicine” and has been used for centuries. It keeps your body energized and helps you breathe easier. Plus, it's loaded with antioxidants and really easy to grow. So, bring on the mint!
- The next time you are at a traffic light… take 3 deep breaths. Slowly fill your lungs with air from the diaphragm up, and slowly exhale COMPLETELY. When you breathe deeply, your brain gets the message to CALM DOWN.
- Typically, each breath in energizes you and each breath out relaxes you. Experiment with making your exhale twice as long as your inhale. Give this count a try…. Inhale 1,2 and Exhale 1,2,3,4 or When walking, inhale for two steps and exhale for four steps.
